YOUTH GUARANTEE TRAILBLAZER - LIGHTS, CAMERA, ACTION
We received funding from Walsall Council through the Youth Guarantee Trailblazer fund to engage NEET young people aged 18–21 in Walsall. Lights, Camera, Action (LCA) is an 8-week creative media programme hosting hands-on activities such as video production, podcasting, and digital content creation. Participants will build technical media skills and essential soft skills, while also receiving mentoring, wellbeing support, and employability guidance.

In 2025, we were commissioned by Walsall Council to reach and support 30 disadvantaged, NEET (not in education, employment, or training) young people most at risk of long-term disengagement. We will deliver practical training in media production and digital content creation to young people, helping them to strengthen their communication, teamwork, and presentation abilities, whilst providing pathways into education, training, apprenticeships, or employment.
Aim of Project
Between 2025 and 2026, we will deliver the project to 3 cohorts of young people. Each cohort will receive 8 weeks of training in media skills such as podcasting, video production, and camera skills, alongside tailored employability support, all whilst building on their personal skills in confidence, team-working, communication, and more.
