Last year, Walsall Council commissioned OLM to conduct a consultation with the Walsall North Family Hub and local families. Recently, we held a focus group at the Hub to speak to parents and carers of 0-5 year olds in North Walsall to better understand the community needs from the perspective of the families. This forum allowed us to get into a deeper conversation with the families about their thoughts on local healthcare offerings, other services and amenities in the area, and the forms of support that they receive from the Council.
This research, alongside the questionnaires that we have been carrying out with parents/carers, will be used to inform improvements to the local service provisions and to develop more accessible preventative services to prevent the escalation of needs.
